Less Active Kaumatuas (2-2.5 hours). Short walk with a picnic lunch. Public transport used.

R

Relaxed (3-4 hours). Well established tracks. Some climbing. Relaxed pace.

E

Easy (4-5 hours). Well established tracks. Some climbing. Good pace.

EM

Easy/Medium (5-6 hours). Well established tracks/routes, some off-track. Climbing. Good pace.

M

Medium (6-7 hours). Less well established tracks/routes, more off-track. Climbing. Faster pace.

MF

Medium/Fit (7-8 hours). Mainly off-track, more difficult terrain. Climbing. Fast pace.

F

Fit (8 hours plus). Off-track, steeper and more difficult terrain. Climbing. Fast pace.

Note: Trip times are based on an average fitness level of trampers who usually participate in that grade of trip.

Times may be longer when participants are slower or less fit than the average of the group.
